Respite care at Helen Ley
In 2010 the MS Society, which currently runs Helen Ley, made the decision to no longer directly provide residential respite care. Since then the Society has been working hard to find an alternative provider to take over the running of Helen Ley.
Update on MS respite care centres – 21 November 2011
The MS Society has signed an initial agreement with Castel Froma, a Leamington Spa-based specialist care centre for people with brain injuries, MS and other neurological conditions.
Castel Froma has committed to continue providing a service for people with MS and running the long-term residential facility at Helen Ley Court.
This latest development comes after receiving a number of expressions of interest in taking over Helen Ley, following our announcement in October that the centre was set to close.
We’ll now work with Castel Froma to agree precise terms and discuss detailed transfer arrangements. It is hoped that contracts can be exchanged to allow the transfer to take place by the end of January.
Bookings at Helen Ley Care Centre
Helen Ley is currently open and now taking provisional bookings for February onwards. Bookings will be confirmed once we have exchanged contracts with Castel Froma. Please contact the centre in the usual way to discuss your booking.
