Helen Ley is a fantastic place and the staff have always given me excellent care and support. Being there makes you feel like a normal person doing normal things and meeting people you can relate to.
£4000 raised
14 Sep 2007
Arranged by a regular guest at Helen Ley and held on 16 August, Pat Slater’s Charity Auction, attended by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Coventry, was a great success and raised almost £4,000 as those present tried to out-bid each other for the various donated items such as signed football shirts (shown in picture with Pat Slater) and photos, Virgin balloon rides, meals in top London restaurants and tickets to a UB40 concert. The money raised will be used to purchase a second exercise bike for the physiotherapy department.
Thanks go to all those who contributed to making the event such a success, including Kenilworth Wardens Cricket Club, CaterPlus and the auctioneer, Charles Such who, together with his wife Anne, did such a fabulous job.
